What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
I run the business. I’m involved in every part of the operation, from strategy and decision making to solving problems and keeping everything moving smoothly. We have a brilliant team, but I naturally like to be hands on, so I’m working on delegating more and letting everyone shine in their roles.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I love anything that keeps me active and clears my mind; sauna sessions, running, lifting weights and playing padel. Outside of training, my favourite thing is spending time with my wife and our two boys, whether we’re eating out, exploring new places or just relaxing together.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
Most people don’t realise that I’m highly sensitive. I take things in deeply, which helps me make better decisions and understand people more clearly.
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
Right now, my favourite thing is getting away with my wife for countryside breaks around England. There are so many beautiful places here, and I love discovering new spots and trying different experiences.
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
I’ve been entrepreneurial from a very young age. I was washing cars at 10, doing paper rounds at 11, and hosting parties at 16 where I charged for entry. I’ve always had a natural instinct for business and spotting opportunities.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t sell the cow — sell the milk.”
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
I absolutely love a good musical.
What’s one thing you think Bettermove does better than anyone else?
We simplify the chaos. Property can be stressful and confusing, but we cut through all of that and give people clear answers quickly. We don’t make things complicated, we make them manageable.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about property that you wish more people understood?
Speed and certainty matter more than anything. Most problems aren’t about price, they’re about delays, communication and people feeling left in the dark. When you remove uncertainty, the whole process becomes 10 times easier.
What’s the most useful skill you’ve developed since working in property?
The ability to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure. Property throws a lot at you, and keeping a level head is what gets deals done and keeps clients reassured.
