What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
I negotiate sales, chase solicitors, calm panicking buyers, reassure stressed sellers, and generally stop property chains from falling apart. Basically, I’m the human version of duct tape – I keep everything together.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I spend my free time with my family and friends. My husband works away during the week, so weekends are important quality time for us. I have a 16-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old son. I love holidays, having a break is so important when life is moving so fast. Nothing for me beats time in the sun with a cocktail.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
Im 48..yeah I know you would never guess this, honestly its true 😊 …no really…. Umm I was Head Girl of my senior school!
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
Wine, good food, anything that is not stressful ( oh and I love tidying and organising everything!)
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
I had the pleasure of living and working in New York for a year, followed by a year spent working at a merchant bank in London. Roles that I am extremely grateful for.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t worry until there’s actually something to worry about.” Easier said than done. Worrying often causes stress, leading to bad impulsive decisions.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
Tequila!!!!
What’s one thing you think Bettermove does better than anyone else?
We move fast. We are proactive not reactive, always giving our best! We all want to achieve the best results so as a determined team we get the job done and done well!!!
What’s one thing you’ve learned about property that you wish more people understood?
A sale isn’t sold just because you’ve “found a buyer”. The real adventure begins when it goes to the solicitors.
What’s the most useful skill you’ve developed since working in property?
Master-level multitasking — juggling multiple sales, legal updates, and emotional support calls while still remembering where I left my coffee.
