What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
I speak to potential clients who have enquired to sell their property quickly, we have a conversation about what they are looking for and see what we can do to help. After this we look into either buying the property ourselves or sourcing it for one of our investors inside our portals. Either way providing them with a quick and easy hassle-free sale.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
Spending time with my family and friends.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
I have three nipples.
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
Halloumi fries.
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
Beating which is chasing grouse over the moors to be shot.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Take as much advice as you can get and then ignore it all and do what you want anyway.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
Anything covered in melted cheese.
What’s one thing you think Bettermove does better than anyone else?
Looking out for the best possible outcome for people who enquire with us, honesty is the key, we want to help but sometimes our service won’t be for everyone and that is fine.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about property that you wish more people understood?
General estate agents compete with each other by offering higher ‘valuations’. Sometimes someone will get a valuation done by an agent which is nowhere near what it is going to sell for, a property is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
What’s the most useful skill you’ve developed since working in property?
Confidence in people skills and communicating, I spend a lot of time talking to lots of different people and it has taught me a lot.
