What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
I help people move home with less stress. I’m the main point of contact for clients, keeping everyone updated, chasing progress, explaining what’s happening in simple terms, and fixing problems before they become big ones.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I love staying active — playing padel, going for a run, and getting out on the golf course whenever I can. I’m also a big fan of good food and spending time with friends.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
I’m far more competitive than I let on — especially when it comes to sports. Friendly game or not, I always want to win.
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
A properly cooked steak. It’s simple, satisfying, and unbeatable after a long day or a hard training session.
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
I’ve had a role where I had to deal with lots of different people and unpredictable situations, which taught me how to stay calm and think quickly — skills that translate perfectly into property.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
If you can’t control it, don’t let it control you.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
Steak and chips followed by switching off with a box set — simple but hard to beat.
What’s one thing you think Bettermove does better than anyone else?
Communication. We actually keep people informed, explain what’s happening, and stay proactive instead of reactive.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about property that you wish more people understood?
How much of the process depends on people, not paperwork — clear communication and quick decisions make a huge difference.
What’s the most useful skill you’ve developed since working in property?
Problem-solving under pressure. No two transactions are the same, so being able to adapt quickly and stay calm is essential.
