What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
I help people move on to their next chapter. As a Property Consultant, I match buyers with the right homes, negotiate offers, and keep the whole process running smoothly. Think of me as the person who makes sure everything stays calm, organised and on track when someone decides it’s time to sell.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I’m not great at sitting still. I usually end up running, lifting something heavy in the gym, or catching up with friends over food. Anything that gets me outside or gives me a break from screens is a win.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
People are always surprised that I’m the sort of person who enjoys getting my hands dirty under a car bonnet. I’ve done full repairs myself — I once spent a whole weekend swapping out an engine just because I was determined to get it working again.
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
Right now I’m borderline obsessed with padel — I love having a big goal to chase; it’s the perfect mix of competitiveness and not-taking-yourself-too-seriously. The post-match coffee might be the best bit though.
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
Before this, I was a professional tennis player. Completely different world, but it taught me a lot about dealing with pressure and helped me make big decisions — skills I use every single day here.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
‘When you mindset is right, even hard days move you forward’ – A constant reminder that smiling through hard situations makes it that little bit more bearable.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
A bowl of loaded fries. It’s the one thing that can fix almost any kind of day.
What’s one thing you think Bettermove does better than anyone else?
We genuinely move fast. Not in a rushed way — more in a “we actually pick up the phone and get things done” kind of way. Sellers feel looked after, and buyers get answers quickly, which makes the whole process smoother for everyone.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about property that you wish more people understood?
A fresh coat of paint is nice… but it’s not a magic value booster. The real value comes from the fundamentals: layout, location, size, and how well the home has been looked after over time.
What’s the most useful skill you’ve developed since working in property?
I’ve gotten really good at understanding what a property is truly worth — not just on paper, but in the real world. Being able to cut through the “nice to haves” and focus on what actually matters helps me give advice people can trust.
