Why should I use Bettermove rather than a traditional estate agent?

As the UK’s only Pay Monthly Estate Agents, we never charge commission. Our goal is to help you achieve a quick and profitable sale by utilising our three dynamic pay monthly packages. We are an online agency, so the money we save on overheads trickles down as savings for you.

How much does it cost to sell my home with Bettermove?

We offer three comprehensive pay monthly packages.

The Basic Package starts at £74 and offers everything you need to get your property on the market from listing to completion with expert help and advice from start to finish.

The Choice Package is £83 and offers all the benefits of the Base package with a Rightmove premium listing ensuring your property is in front of the right buyers.

The Premium Package is just £112 a month and gives you access to all the benefits of the Choice package but also includes unlimited assisted viewings.

What are your opening hours?

We’re up and running 24/7. Our user-friendly website and your own personal Betterhub portal is always on, and you can expect a response to your phone calls or emails within 24 hours.

Do I still pay if my home hasn't sold?

We give you control of how pay for our services by offering you different payment options such as pay upfront or pay monthly. If you choose to use our pay monthly option then you get to spread the payments over manageable small monthly amounts to make it affordable. Whatever option you choose the fee is non-refundable in the unlikely event your home hasn’t sold.

What if I've already instructed an agent, can I still use Bettermove?

Yes of course, most, if not all agents allow you to enter into a dual agency agreement with another agent. If this is a concern however then we can market your property on  a ‘discreet’ basis which means we would target out database of buyers privately rather than give your property full exposure, then in the event the property isn’t sold we can put the property on the open market when your current agent agreement expires.

How quickly will you start marketing my property?

More often than not we will have your house fully listed within 24-48 hours of having the brochure approved by you.

Can you market my property on a discreet basis?

Yes, sometimes a customer may be tied into an existing agency agreement with another agent or we deal with Landlords who have tenants they don’t want to disturb. Whatever the reason sometimes people want to market the property quitely i.e no for sale boards and no property portals or websites. We are happy to market your property on a discreet basis, we will quietly send the property out to our network of buyers in order to fund a suitable match. Meanwhile the property stays off the internet and nobody needs to know the property is being sold via Bettermove.

Where will Bettermove list my home to help it sell?

Not only will we place your property in front of our network of motivated buyers, but we will also list your home across many online platforms, such as Rightmove, to ensure millions of people see your property.

Does Bettermove check potential buyers?

YES! We’ve put together a database of pre-screened, pre-approved buyers. We will make sure your property gets in front of as many of these pre-approved buyers as possible.

How long will Bettermove list my home for sale?

We will officially list your property for a period of 6 months. In the unlikely event that it does not sell, we will cease providing listing services. However, we can then look to renew for a further period subject to mutual agreement by both parties.

What if I change my mind and don't want to sell?

Life happens; we get that. However, if your situation changes and you no longer want to sell your home, there will be no refunds unless you cancel within the 14 day cooling off period (subject to terms and conditions)

Can I sell my home on Bettermove from anywhere in the UK?

Yes! This is the beautiful part about working with an online estate agency is that you are not limited to a specific location. You have the freedom and flexibility to list your property on Bettermove no matter where you live in the UK.

Are there any additional costs?

Our monthly pay packages are one flat rate. However, we know that selling your home is not a one-size-fits-all process. This is why we offer extra services such as adding a professional 3D floor plan to your listing, unlimited assisted viewings or classifying your listing as a RightMove Featured Property. Speak to your Bettermove account manager to discuss the different extra services available.

Why do I need to have an identity check for Anti Money Laundering?

According to the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds Regulations of 2017, We are required to perform ID verification checks for all parties involved in a better move real estate transaction. This includes co-owners of the property, not just the parties responsible for doing business with BetterMove.

What do I need to do to complete my identity check?

We will just need some basic information from you to complete this step. We will need your full legal name, residential address, and date of birth. If you jointly owned the property you are trying to sell with someone else, we will also need this basic information from them.

You may contact Bettermove, via email or telephone, at any time during the marketing period if you wish to amend the value of your property.

Can I change the sale price of my home once it's for sale with Bettermove?

Of course! Just get in touch with your account manager to discuss changing your pricing strategy.

Who creates my property description?

It’s a team effort! You supply us with accurate and detailed information about the home and your account manager will create an engaging property description. You are responsible for disclosing information that is relevant to the property, and ensuring all details are honest and accurate.

Who shows buyers around my property?

As a seller, you know your home best. You can showcase your home in the best light and help others fall in love with it too. If you are not interested in facilitating these showings, you can add the Accompanied Viewing service to your package.

What is Pay Monthly? And how does it work?

Pay Monthly is a unique plan that allows homeowners to spread the cost of the Bettermove package over a period of months that you choose, and pay the fee in small manageable monthly amounts with zero interest rate applied.

When using the pay monthly option you are agreeing to use our recommended conveyance firm and instruct them for conveyance services on your behalf once the property is sold. Your account manager will assist you with this at the point a sale is agreed.

Please note that if your property sale does reach a Sold Subject To Contract (SSTC) status and you decide not to proceed with using our recommended panel of conveyancers, a fee of £250 will be due to Bettermove.

In the event that Bettermove have contributed to you a financial incentive such as the finance providers deposit or monthly instalment then this must be repaid to Bettermove in full either on completion of the property sale or if you decide to cancel within your statutory cancellation period.
