What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
My role at Bettermove is an Account Manager. Within this job, I handle the properties through the selling process, my role involves overseeing and guiding property sales from start to finish. It can involve communication with the vendor and understanding their needs.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I enjoy spending a lot of time with my cockerpoo Archie outside of work. He brings a sense of routine to my life as well as caring for him. Whether if it’s feeding him, grooming him, or just making sure he is happy. This brings me a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
Something people would never guess about me is that I’m the kind of person who can see through a property sale with confidence… but still has to Google how long to boil an egg.
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
One of my hobbies is watching greys anatomy. It is more than just a TV show for me- I love getting lost in the storylines, the drama and the emotional twists that keep you hooked episode after episode.
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
I have spent the majority of my life working within the NHS caring for people and helping save their lives. Even though my career has taken a different path now, that experience shaped who I am today- compassionate, calm under pressure and always focused on helping and supporting others, as well as myself.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
To always believe in myself, even when things get hard
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
My go-to guilty pleasure will be ordering a Nandos
