What do you actually do at Bettermove (in plain English)?
I’m a Property Consultant at Bettermove. I help people sell their homes. I handle offers, explain what happens next, and make sure we fully understand what the seller wants. I guide clients through each step and do what I can to make everything as smooth and stress-free as possible.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
When I’m off work I like to stay busy. I run, go to the gym, and enjoy socialising with friends. It helps me relax and reset after a busy week.
What’s something people would never guess about you?
Most people don’t know that I am good at working on cars and have even changed an engine myself on the driveway before
What’s your favourite thing right now — a food, film, show, hobby, gadget or place you love?
Right now I’m really into running. I’m training hard with the aim of running a marathon in under three hours next year. I’ve also started playing padel with colleagues, which is fun, social and a great way to stay active.
What’s the most unusual or surprising job you’ve ever had before Bettermove?
I worked as a Business Manager at BMW. It was a pretty big shift from property, but I learnt a lot from that role — particularly about customer service, organisation and working under pressure.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Someone once told me: if something takes less than five minutes, just do it now. It seems simple, but it keeps me organised and stops little tasks from piling up. That attitude helps a lot, both at work and in life.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure (food, show, snack or soundtrack)?
Definitely steak. Well cooked steak is a simple pleasure but always hits the spot after a busy week or a long day.
What’s one thing you think Bettermove does better than anyone else?
I think we are really good at responding to enquiries quickly and offering a great balance between a competitive price and a fast sale. We know people value speed as much as price, and we try to deliver both.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about property that you wish more people understood?
I wish more people realised that decorating the house does not always add value, it might look nice, but it does not guarantee a higher sale price. What really matters is the underlying value, location, structure, layout, not just cosmetic updates.
What’s the most useful skill you’ve developed since working in property?
I’ve really learned how to value properties properly, and how to spot what genuinely adds value and what is just cosmetic. That helps me give honest and realistic advice to clients
